Right outside the house
Before you plan longer trips, it is worth looking around. A few things are within walking distance, and the trailheads are a short drive away, without the morning queue into Zakopane.

From several spots nearby you can see the whole ridge: Giewont, Kasprowy Wierch and Świnica. Selected apartments have that view straight from the window.

The meadow by the Hajduk lift
The nearest point with a full view of the Tatras. You can walk there without taking the car, and the evening light on the ridge looks best from here.

Entrances to the Tatra National Park
Brzeziny, Wiktorówki, Cyrhla and Dolina Małej Łąki. Each entrance needs a short drive or an electric bike, and you are still on the trail sooner than guests stuck in the morning queue into Zakopane.

A place for the barbecue and a fire, a pavilion for evenings with friends and a small playground for the youngest. The shortest way to rest after a day in the mountains, because it leads through the garden.

Trailheads minutes from the house, cycling routes leading deep into Dolina Gąsienicowa, a raft trip on the Dunajec and expeditions into the Pieniny. In summer Murzasichle is above all a convenient base for the Tatras and Podhale.
Trails of the Tatra National Park
Two trails start near the house: from Brzeziny through Hala Gąsienicowa, and from Cyrhla up Kopieniec with a panoramic view of the whole Tatra range. Both work well as a day out.

A gentle route for everyone: the sanctuary at Wiktorówki, the open meadow of Polana Rusinowa with one of the finest Tatra panoramas, and the climb up Gęsia Szyja for those who want it. A good choice with children too.

Cycling routes and electric bikes
From Brzeziny you can ride a paved road all the way to Dolina Gąsienicowa and the Murowaniec hut, which saves a lot of energy before the trail itself. We deliver and collect electric bikes at the house, so the ride up to Głodówka, Bukowina or Zakopane costs no effort either.

Rope courses at several levels, from paths for the youngest to sections that take some courage. A tried and tested half day with children.

A summer carriage ride on the Janosik trail
A ride in highland carriages across the meadows of Podhale, following the legendary outlaw. With a stop by the fire, oscypek cheese and highland music. Great for children as well.
Quad bike trips
Off road routes through the forests, meadows and viewpoints around Murzasichle. Options from an hour to a full day, also for beginners with an instructor.
Rafting on the Dunajec
The classic of the Pieniny: a raft trip through the Dunajec gorge. About two and a half hours on the water between rock walls, with the raftsmen's stories along the way.
An organised full day trip
The Sky Walk tower in Poronin
The tallest wooden viewing tower in the region, a 360 degree panorama of the Tatras, the Gorce and the Beskids. Some fifteen minutes by car, a good option on a cloudy day too.

Winter under the Tatras
The nearest lift is a few hundred metres from the house and a free ski bus stops at the door. At Hajduk and Murzasichle Ski our guests ski on free passes. Add sleigh rides with torches, snow tubing and four larger resorts within some fifteen minutes.

Six lifts, runs at various levels, equipment rental and a ski school on site. Our guests get a free ski bus and free ski passes.

Sleigh rides with torches
A winter classic: a horse drawn sleigh ride with torches, a bonfire, sausages and live highland music. We arrange versions of about an hour and a half, or with a regional dinner at an inn.

Snowmobiles
Snowmobile trips on closed routes at the edge of Murzasichle and towards Rusinowa Polana. Machines, helmets and an instructor come from the operator.

The places we keep coming back to with our guests, whatever the season and the weather. Thermal baths, the oscypek museum, a highland dance evening and play centres for a rainy afternoon.

Four tried and tested geothermal baths within 20 to 40 minutes: Gorący Potok in Szaflary is the closest, Termy Zakopane the handiest after skiing, and Bukovina and Terma Bania in Białka the largest, with sauna areas.

An interactive visit to a shepherd's hut: the history of oscypek cheese, a demonstration by a real shepherd and a tasting of regional cheeses straight from the pot. An attraction for the whole family.

A landmark of Podhale: a highland dance evening with live music, dancing and a regional menu. A great way to end the day, with an atmosphere that is hard to copy anywhere else.

Four large play centres within 20 minutes' drive: climbing frames, slides, ball pools and areas for the youngest. A rescue on a rainy day, and we will gladly point you to the nearest one.
Day trips with Strama
Trips around the Tatras and into Slovakia, with cave visits, rafting on the Dunajec, Kraków with the Wieliczka salt mine and outings to thermal baths in Hungary. Comfortable minibuses and licensed guides. Worth it when you want to see more without planning the logistics.

How far is the nearest ski lift
The Hajduk slope is about 500 m from the house, a few minutes on foot. The Murzasichle Ski resort with six lifts, equipment rental and a ski school is about a kilometre further, and a free ski bus stops at the house.
Do guests get free ski passes
Yes, our guests use free ski passes at the Hajduk and Murzasichle Ski slopes. Add the free ski bus and in winter the car often stays parked for the whole stay.
Where do the nearest Tatra trails start
The nearest entrances to the Tatra National Park are Brzeziny, Wiktorówki, Cyrhla and Dolina Małej Łąki. Each needs a short drive or a bike ride, but all of them lie a few minutes from the house and on the opposite side to the morning queue into Zakopane.
Which trail do you recommend with children
The route through Wiktorówki to Polana Rusinowa, with an optional climb up Gęsia Szyja. The ascent is gentle, the path wide, and the panorama from the meadow covers the whole High Tatra ridge. For older children Kopieniec from Cyrhla is a good goal too.
How far are the thermal pools
Gorący Potok in Szaflary is about 20 minutes' drive, Termy Zakopane lies on the way into town, and Bukovina and Terma Bania in Białka are within about 40 minutes.

What to do in Murzasichle and the area all year round
Murzasichle is a good base for the Tatras in every season. In summer the trailheads in Brzeziny and Cyrhla are minutes from the house, and from there routes lead to Hala Gąsienicowa, Kopieniec, Polana Rusinowa and Gęsia Szyja.
In winter what counts is the distance to the slope. The Hajduk lift is within walking distance, the Murzasichle Ski resort with six lifts about a kilometre further, and our guests ski there on free passes and use a free ski bus. Nearby you will also find Małe Ciche, Suche, Rusiń Ski in Bukowina and Białka Tatrzańska.
